Initially commencing his career with HMRC, Jack has now been in Financial Services for over 30 years and now feels he can confidently say “he is getting good at it”.

Always a champion for the Independent aspect of advice and financial planning, Jack spent many years cultivating professional relationships with several solicitor and accountancy firms, who have introduced a number of highly valued clients over the years. Pinewood sees this longevity aspect as instrumental to the ongoing success and ability of the firm to retain clients, long term – several for over 20 years!

As an authorised Pension Transfer Specialist, Jack appreciates the technical challenges of this sometimes delicate area of advice, recognising that whilst many firms, perhaps understandably, have withdrawn such services, many clients need clear professional advice and guidance.

In his limited spare time, Jack, along with his wife Jacqui, enjoys global travels and mountain biking in addition to twice weekly tennis and recently commenced rehearsals as rhythm guitarist with a local covers band, all whilst constantly trying to shed some pounds ( lbs not ££s)

Graeme has worked in the Financial Services industry since 2002 after graduating from Strathclyde University the previous year with a BA (Hons) degree in Economics and Finance. Continuing these studies, Graeme achieved the equivalent of the current Diploma level (DipPFS) in 2005 and more recently in 2018 completed the Advanced Diploma (APFS) to become a Chartered Financial Planner. Graeme is hoping to qualify as an industry recognised Pension Transfer Specialist (PTS) in the near future.

Along with Jack Fordyce, Graeme was a founding Partner of Pinewood Portfolio Management in 2011 and is responsible for many of the critical tasks involved in running an authorised business in the Financial Services industry. He particularly enjoys the advice role and helping clients with their investment, retirement and succession plans.

Graeme has a keen interest in a range of sports, especially football, which takes him around Scotland to watch Aberdeen FC and as a member of the Scotland Supporters Club he is a regular attendee at Hampden Park. Graeme also enjoys a round of golf, visiting friends and family in Campbeltown and spending time with his wife and two children.

Maureen, our admin guru and office manager joined our team 4 years ago and has many years’ experience within the Financial Services Industry, including 21 years with Phoenix Life and 18 months working with the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) before joining Pinewood. This latter role gave Maureen good insight into some of the regulatory and compliance aspects of our business, which helps her to keep us all on our toes in many respects.

Maureen also holds several Financial Planning Certificates achieved over the years.

Maureen is kept busy away from work, having both two school age teenagers and two dogs. Maureen is also very involved in her local community, working with the British Heart Foundation Charity Shop at weekends and chairing the Parent Council of her children’s secondary school.

To relax, Maureen loves to read gripping detective novels, walk her dogs and play board games with the family.

Ross joined Pinewood Portfolio Management in September 2018, having previously graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BA (Hons) Degree in Finance, Investment and Risk and an MSc in Risk Management. Ross has since completed the Certificate in Financial Services and is currently working towards achieving Diploma level.

Ross’ role involves providing technical support to Jack and Graeme, through investment fund and product research along with significant input into client facing Financial Planning (suitability) reports in addition to assisting with the delivery of ongoing service to clients.

Ross also enjoys updating our team with millennial style commentary in an attempt to keep us “on trend” and will surely be very involved with Pinewood’s future social media presence.

In his spare time, Ross is a keen football fan, where a season ticket for Kilmarnock demonstrates his loyalty and commitment and also enjoys combining holidays with football based trips abroad and within the UK. When not galivanting on city breaks, Ross enjoys spending his time socialising with friends and family.
